Number of remaining hamsters were given the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they have caused the same success as the Golden hamster Hamsters. They are a little bigger than a hamster like that Waterhouse found, and name them "Mesocricetus auratus", although can be sure that they are all the same species
Hamsters were transferred to laboratories all over the world. They came to England in 1931, and in 1938, the need to enter the U.S.. And like Golden Hamsters are born from the domesticated species found in Syria with a very small number, it was sold out from the visitors brought from the Syrian desert. There is even a separate repository storing important hamster in the U.S. in 1971, it will never be known if not for the pet of North America are derived from them.
